This is part five in our series of Las Vegas casinos and the Blackjack games they offer, this section covers some of the Downtown casinos which offer the best games and some very liberal rules.

Four Queens have three different Blackjack games available at their tables both their 1 deck and 2 deck games play to the same rules. These call for the Dealer to hit a soft 17. Players cannot double down after a split, nor can they take late surrender and the re-splitting of Aces is not allowed. The single deck game house edge is 0.3%, and the 2 deck game is 0.6%.

You can also play an eight deck game in which the Dealer hits a soft 17, and you may double down after a split, but the re-splitting of Aces isn't allowed and no late surrender is offered.

Fremont will offer you a 2 deck game of Blackjack and the rules of this game state that a Dealer will hit a soft 17 but no late surrender, no re-splitting of Aces and no double down after a split is allowed. The house edge on this game is 0.6%.

They also have a 6 deck game with the same rules but the house edge on this game is 0.78%

Gold Coast have a 2 deck game available and this has the Dealer hitting a soft 17 and you can double down after a split. You cannot however take late insurance and you can't re-split Aces. The house edge on this Blackjack variant is 0.45%.

A 6 deck game can also be found and this has a Dealer hitting a soft 17, and once again you can double down after a split but no late surrender and no re-splitting Aces, the house edge on this game is 0.64%.

Golden Nugget have a 2 deck game and a 6 deck game which both have the same rules. These rules state that the Dealer will always hit a soft 17 and you cannot double down after a split, no late surrender and no re-splitting of Aces. The house edge on these two games are 0.6% and 0.78% respectively.

They also have another 6 deck game with slightly different rules, on this game a Dealer will hit a soft 17, but double down after a split is allowed. No late surrender or re-splitting of Aces is allowed. The house edge on this game is 0.64%

Also we have just found out they have yet another 6 deck game, again this has different rules and on this game the Dealer stands a soft 17, and you can double down after a split, also you may take late surrender and re-split Aces. The house edge on this game is a very respectable 0.28%.

So if you do venture Downtown the Golden Nugget is well worthy of a visit, with so many different Blackjack games on offer and their very low house edge games you owe it to yourself to sit down for a few hands!
