We aren't giving away any prizes for guessing what part of the world this Blackjack variant is based on, but if you have ever ventured down the Strip then you may have seen it being dealt!

It's a well known fact, and one that players seem to not really care about, that most Vegas Strip casinos offer much worse odds on their Blackjack games than those of casinos found in the Downtown area.

But each casino does offer different game rules and a savvy player will always track these better paying Blackjack games down.

Number Of Decks: Vegas Strip Blackjack uses four standard decks of playing cards.

Splitting Rules: You're free to split any two cards that share the same denomination or value, like a Jack and a Queen, or maybe two Eights. When you choose to do this then your hand is separated into two new hands and this will mean you need to place a new wager of the same value as the first onto this new hand.

Aces that have been split and then are dealt a ten valued card will be deemed to be a 21 hand and not a Blackjack.

You could play a maximum of four hands and this would be achieved if you Split a hand three times. Aces however, can only be split once, and such hands will only be dealt one card after the split.

Doubling Down Rules: The Double Down rules in Vegas Strip Blackjack won't have you scratching your head as they are very simple to understand. You may double down your hand once after receiving your first two cards. Also you can double down after a split, and each double down will cost you the same as your initial wager.

Dealer Play: The Dealer will stand on all 17 hands. this game is a hole card game so the Dealer will peek and be checking for Blackjack when he is holding a Ten or an Ace.

Online Vegas Strip Blackjack players need to be aware the deck will be shuffled before the game begins, so don't get any ideas of card counting online as you can't!

Payout and House Edge: A Blackjack hand pays 3 to 2, and a winning Insurance bet pays 2-1. The House Edge of the Vegas Strip Blackjack game is 0.35%.

Vegas Strip Blackjack - Hint and Tips
There are plenty of decisions to be made when playing Vegas Strip Blackjack, but one you don't have to think about is when you get dealt a pair of Aces, split them everytime!

If however, you get dealt a pair of ten valued cards then stand, don't ever split them, for by doing so you will increase the house edge and it will help you lose much quicker!

Taking insurance is a mug bet and if you take it on the game of Vegas Strip Blackjack then you will be playing against a house edge on that bet alone of 7.246%, so never be tempted to take Insurance.

Knowing what to do with a pair of fives can often be puzzling but your correct move would be to double down unless the dealer has ten or eleven showing, if he does then hit that hand.
